The Uniformed Veterinary Medical Association (UVMA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization aiming to advance uniformed veterinary medicine with activities to promote morale, support recruitment and retention, provide education, foster historical perspective and appreciation of uniformed veterinary history, to provide a means of recognition of those who serve and who have served the nation via uniformed veterinary medicine and foster interaction with international uniformed veterinary colleagues. The UVMA is currently based in Bexar County Texas, with management authority vested in a seven-person Board of Directors.
We welcome anyone with experience or interest in uniformed veterinary medicine.
Current affiliate organizations include the Association of Retired Enlisted Veterinary Personnel (AREVP) and the American Veterinary Medical History Society (AVMHS).

General Membership: Anyone with experience or interest in uniformed veterinary medicine.
Student Membership: Anyone enrolled in high school, college, veterinary school, or veterinary technician training, with the intent to serve in uniformed veterinary medicine.
Sustaining Membership: Any corporation, business, or foundation that wishes to support the mission and purpose of the UVMA.
Affiliate Membership: Existing retired veterinary organizations, composed of individuals who have served and/or supported the uniformed veterinary mission and that commit to support the mission and purpose of the UVMA. Individuals of approved affiliates may become members of UVMA at a reduced membership dues rate. Current approved affiliates are the Association of Retired Enlisted Veterinary Personnel (AREVP) and the American Veterinary Medical History Society (AVMHS).
